Our STORE DAY was a huge success! Just look at the wonderful businesses that were displayed:
First, they had to visit the Bank of Johnston. They introduced themselves, talked about the kind of business they were starting, and asked for the loan.
The class took turns being the consumers and the producers. They did a great job counting the change!
After a while, some of the kids realized that their prices were too high, so they lowered the prices.
Listen to the sound of entrepreneurship!
At the end, they had to return the $50 to the Bank of Johnston. There were some kids who did not have enough left in their wallet to pay back the bank!
We talked about being careful with overspending, and having to work hard in real life to pay back a loan. A good lesson learned:)
The kids counted their profit...
The top 3 with the most profit earned were Avery, Kason, and Robert!
The winner with over $100 of profit was Robert! Congratulations Mr. Business Man!!
We all agreed that this was an incredibly FUN day of Social Studies! Many of them came to thank me for a great day, and that warmed my heart :)
I LOVE MY CLASS!!
