Transparant? Translucent? Opaque?

We just finished the science chapter on light, and one of the science labs the kids got to do was to determine if an object is 1) transparent 2) translucent or 3) opaque.

I love how nicely they work together in groups. They are completely independent, ask one another excellent questions, and help each other when needed.

They were able to categorize all of the items in a bag.

I hope you enjoy seeing your kids in action in the classroom:) I get to watch them all day long. I know you miss them (sometimes...lol), so I'm trying to share these simple moments with you.

I am a blessed teacher! Thank you, parents, for the gift of your kids!!

I WAS MADE FOR THIS!

I think this was one of the best dress-up themes we've ever had. I absolutely fell in love with our kids over again when I saw them walk into the classroom, representing what they believe God MADE THEM FOR.

Lord, use these kids for YOUR GLORY in whatever path you lead them to. May they each use their talent to spread the Good News of Jesus.

iTune out DRUGS!!

Thank you to Mrs. Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Reyes for your hard work in creating this wonderful door.

Not everyone got to see it, so I wanted to be sure to get a closeup shot. We LOVED IT!

Superstar Grandparents!!

Grandparents' Day was an incredible success! I hope someone took a video of the 3rd grade hymn, "Wonderful Words of Life". Miss Rice and I were extremely proud of both of our classes. They worshipped the Lord with their sweet voices and hand motions...our hearts were full.

Then we got to spend some time with our guests in the classroom!
They showed off their Colonial Lapbooks that they have been working on in Social Studies.

They also tried to beat the grandparents in a game of Tic-Tac-Toe and Hangman.

After taking some silly pictures at the photo booth, they put together some puzzles.

There was also a station to make delicious Trail Mix with ingredients of LOVE. Then the kids interviewed their grandparents to get to know them better.

Thank you to all of my helpers who helped so much!

Enjoy the goofy pictures that the kids got to take with their grandparents! They had a blast together.

We ended our morning together with a prayer of blessing over our grandparents. We hope they felt extra special and loved by Jesus.
