Royal Birthday Party for Jesus

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!! Thank You for coming to this earth for the purpose of saving us from our problem of SIN. Without Christmas, we would be hopeless. We would be stuck in our lives of sin with no escape. Then God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit came up with the most AMAZING plan...to send a rescuer for you and for me...a Savior in the form of a human being...Jesus, the Messiah.

Christmas is PART 1 of the Gospel. PART 2 came at Easter time.

Our head room mom, Reushann Wong, recruited all of YOU to make the most amazing Royal Celebration happen on our last day of school before break.

Thank you for all of your donations. This was the most Christ-centered party I've ever had in my classroom! Loved everything about it.

The poster was a great focus of the party.

The birthday balloons kept our hearts on WHO we were celebrating.

And of course, the Birthday Cake for Jesus and the cupcakes (both made by Kristine's mom), were literally the icing on the cake!! :)

We even had personalized Royal Gift Bags. WOW!

The Barnabas Bears were such a special thing for the kids to be a part of. They were able to take their eyes off of themselves, and to think of others who are in need of Christ's love.

It touched my heart to watch the kids hug on the bears as if to hug the kids who would be receiving them. I also loved it when a couple of them put down their pencils to pray for the child right then and there on the spot!

There was silliness going on at the Manger Ornament station!

The Promise station was lots of fun, too!

This was the Light of the World station to remind us that Jesus is indeed the Light in this dark world.

NEWSFLASH.....NEWSFLASH....NEWSFLASH...This just in!
Some of the kids actually got to visit the foster home and deliver the bears personally! Below are some photos of that time. The identities of the children had to be protected, but please be in prayer for each of them, that they would know Jesus, and that they would be placed in a loving Christian home.

Read-a-Thon: Read With a Stuffed Animal

Well, I thought "Read in the Dark" day was their favorite, but perhaps "Read with a Stuffed Animal" beat the rest. They might be in 3rd grade, but stuffed friends are still very special!!

I'll let their smiles speak for themselves...

Read-a-Thon: Read in your Christmas Socks, Read With the Principal, and Read in the Dark

The Read-a-Thon FUN continued as we read in our Christmas socks.

And what a treat it was to have Mr. Barnes come to our class to read a Christmas story on "Read with a Principal" day!

One of our favorites was "Read in the Dark" day. We felt like we were out camping somewhere.
