Bubble-Mania End of the Year Party!!

It's hard to believe that the End of the Year Party was TODAY! We wanted to end with a bang...well, actually, a POP, so we invited the Bubbleologist from Bubblemania to come and entertain us.

And entertain us she did! We LOVED the huge bubbles that she created. Here is a "Rainbow" bubble.

We were not sure how she was going to make a bubble in the shape of a cube, but she did! Look inside closely...

The highlight was when some of the kids got to step inside of a bubble!

Faith and Ivy did a great job!

Even Miss Fischer got to experience it. How fun!

After the show, it was our turn to practice what we learned.

Awww...taking a moment to hug mom is always important!!

Look at that mischievous face:)

A fun day was had by all!

International Feast

Yes, everyone knows that this is my favorite Social Studies "lesson" of the year:) The international Feast was a smashing success, thanks to all the parents and grandparents who looked up recipes, cooked, or went all over town looking for just the right food to purchase.

What an amazing lineup of food we had!!

Lee brought Pad Thai from Thailand. The carrots were in the shape of flowers!

RJ's sweet potatoes from Ethiopia were heavenly!

The potato cookies from Zimbabwe that Amari brought just melted in my mouth.

I was particularly excited about the sushi from Costco...urr...Japan that Taleah brought.

The tamales from Mexico were delicious. Thank you Marina.

The soup from Indonesia was amazing...Elise's mom worked hard to bring all of the ingredients that go inside the noodle soup.

My husband's favorite was Sirr's Jamaican Chicken Curry. Just the right amount of spice.

I heard the teachers raving about the Shepherd's Pie from Ireland that Zac's parents made.

One of my personal favorites was Ivy's Korean BBQ. They did not ask me to do this, but I'd like to encourage all of you to go to U-Grill on Foothill...it's Ivy's parents' new restaurant that they recently opened!

We all loved the Mexican Rice Pudding by Ade. Her dress was super adorable, too!

Faith brought delicious cookies from Norway. Yummy!

Thank you, Joy, for bringing all of those delicious Chinese Egg Rolls. You looked beautiful in your Chinese dress.

Great job Hunter...your Bread Pudding from Ireland was a hit!

Everyone is still talking about the Black Forest Cake from Germany. Thank you, Seth, for the perfect dessert!

The class favorite was, of course, the pizza from Little Caesar's...I mean, Italy. Good choice, Jackson.

We got to eat Natalie's scones from Italy today...all the kids kept asking for seconds!

(Even though Marissa had to go home that morning, we loved her sausages from Germany! They were soooo good!)

Below are the photos to make you hungry:)
