Thanksgiving Turkeys and Chefs 2020

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FEAST DAY!! Look at the wonderful chefs and turkeys in Mrs. Johnston's class!

Here is a picture of the best teaching partner in the world!

I love Miss Rice :)

We got to have chapel outside this morning! It was great to sing praises to the Lord.

I LOVE MY CLASS!!!

Be sure to zoom in to look at their silly faces :)

Here are some shots of the chefs getting ready to cook the turkeys.

We are very grateful to the wonderful parents of IMPACT who worked hard to put on the Thanksgiving Feast for us. They could have easily canceled the event, but they wanted the kids to keep the tradition.

It was so comforting to have some semblance of "normalcy" in this crazy time of the pandemic. Thank you, IMPACT, for serving our students and the teachers. WE LOVE YOU!!

Most of all, we give thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for providing a way of salvation for us. We thank Him for dying on the cross for our sins, for coming back to life, and for being alive TODAY to be with us each day.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.

STEM BINS!!

Occasionally, I like to bring out the STEM Bins for the kids to enjoy. And ENJOY they do!

This year, due to the fact that we are not "sharing" items to reduce the spread of germs, I made sure that each student had his/her own bin.

I like the fact that they are not simply playing, although to the students, it feels like play time!

They are using their engineering skills to create by using ONLY  the items that have been given to them. Problem solving and structural integrity become important as they attempt to build the assigned items.

The first thing they had to build was a house. Then, they went on to build a bridge.

This is what they sounded like during STEM Bins.  Listen in:
