Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Week 2

Monday: DAY  6

Today, Augustus Gloop fell into the chocolate river! It's not supposed to be touched by human hands! Ugh.

Well thankfully, Mrs. Johnston was able to get some drinkable chocolate from Wonka's waterfall BEFORE Augustus fell into the river.

                             Tuesday: DAY  7

Mr. Wonka's candy inventions are SO creative and amazing!

We got to try the Everlasting Gobstoppers today!

They wrote down the flavors as they tasted them.

                         Wednesday: DAY  8

Mrs. Johnston has been busy contacting the Wonka factory to obtain so many items recently.

Unfortunately, this bottle of the Fizzy Lifting Drink did not actually allow us to float in the air. BUMMER that we got a dud bottle.

The Lickable Wallpaper from the company could not be obtained. However...

We decided that we can use Fruit Roll-Ups and pretend that it's the Lickable Wallpaper!

Don't worry...the other side of the Fruit Roll-Up had the plastic on it so it was sanitary! LOL!!

The things Mrs. Johnston has them do!! But they can never complain that Language Arts is BORING, am I right??

                            Thursday: DAY  9

The last activity that the kids got to do was to try the "Exploding Candy for your Enemies". We didn't think it was very nice to give it to our enemies, so we just had them for ourselves 😛

                           Friday: DAY  10

We finished the book today, and we were SO SAD that it was over!!

We learned some important lessons from the characters:

Augustus Gloop: Don't be greedy, and listen to your parents.

Veruca Salt: It is NOT good for our parents to give us everything we want!!

Violet Beauregard: Have good manners, and listen to instructions.

Mike Teavee: Too much screen time can mess up your brain! Reading books is what will make you smart.

Charlie Bucket: Thinking about others is what will bring you joy. Find the good in every situation.
