Thanksgiving Feast 2015

Thanks to our most amazing IMPACT team and their many volunteers, our traditional Thanksgiving Feast was a delicious success!

Thank you to the 3rd grade parents and grandparents who came to set up and serve.

Look at the beautiful rows of pumpkin pies!

Below are our little gobblers of the feast. I just LOVE these kids! They are truly a blessing from the Lord. (We are missing Elijah SO MUCH! We can't wait to have him back in our class after the Thanksgiving break!!)

That cute kid in the background gave me these beautiful flowers today. It brightened up our classroom (and made my other teacher friends a bit jealous;) ).

The Thanksgiving Trail Mix was the perfect way to end my day. Thank you Ava W. !!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I am truly thankful for each and every one of the kids and their families.

Hugs to all of you, and enjoy your break.

Book Report Project Round TWO!!

I'm sorry that I totally forgot to post these from our last round of Book Report Projects.

I LOVED seeing everyone's creativity! Mrs. Currier, our assistant principal, got to sit in on some of the oral presentations...she was quite impressed:)

Later on, the kids got to try out some of the game boards that their friends created.
They were a hit!

It was a great experience for them to make a game, and to see their classmates actually playing it...and loving it!

Some kids did the Glossary and Word Search project, and handed them out for their friends to solve.

The cutest smile from Mindy shows that the Word Search was a great success as well.

Grandparents and Guests on the Red Carpet!

Our annual Grandparents' Day was truly a SUPERSTAR event! I took some pictures of the room to show you the "calm before the storm".

The photo booth items were all set out, ready for the silliness...

The Trail Mix ingredients were ready for the recipe of family love...

The puzzle table was prepared for the 10 minute-50 piece challenge...

And the kids were totally prepared to show off their Colonial Lapbook with their guests...

The Tic-Tac-Toe and Hangman pages were ready for the intense competition...

And the interview questions were ready to bestow some wisdom and advice from those we look up to.

Below are the red carpet smiles of all of the kids and their guests! Enjoy!!!

THANK YOU to all of the moms and dads who donated, helped set up, stayed to clean up, and assisted Impact in the gym (until midnight the night before!!!!). We have the most AMAZING families here!

And thank you to the grandparents and guests who took their time to come. We pray that you were blessed and felt utterly loved.
