Today was our LONG AWAITED store day!
The kids set up their stores, and determined the prices. Some of the kids brought props and prizes to beat their competition. Elijah even printed advertisements beforehand and handed them out to the class!
Sophia was so creative in the way she set up her store! Great job!
Now that the businesses were ready to open, the store owners took a trip to the Bank of Johnston to borrow $50 to add to their $25 of spending money.
The fun was now ready to begin.
We took turns being the consumers and the producers.
We bought and sold...
...and sold and bought!
After returning the $50 to the Bank of Johnston, we counted up the remaining money to see who made the most profit.
Our most profitable business owners were:
Elijah Gilkes and Ryan See. Congratulations to you both!
We agreed that this was a FUN DAY of Social Studies:)
