Thank you, first of all, for your donations for the party. Thank you to the room moms and the other moms and grandma who came to help set up, serve, and clean up after the party.
We began our time by reciting the following verses together to focus our hearts on the reason for our celebration. Ask your child to say these verses to you:
For the past 2 weeks, we have been learning about the events leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Even though the bunny has nothing to do with Easter, we have been learning that the new baby bunnies in the Spring and the chicks hatching out of the eggs represent the NEW LIFE that we can have when we believe in Jesus:

Every year, I tell the kids to walk...but they never do...haha! This is way too exciting to just walk and hunt! They loved it!
Cash's dad came up with a great idea for us...he invited our class to be with the LEAD students in High School. They played an awesome game with our kids, and everyone had a blast!! Thank you Mr. Salazar and wonderful High School students (some of whom were in my 3rd grade class!!):
I would like to end this Easter blog by sharing with you the lyrics of an old hymn that I had the kids listen to. This is a great way to focus on what happened to the Lord on Good Friday:
...after 3 days, JESUS CAME BACK TO LIFE, proving that he has victory over SIN, victory over DEATH, and proving that He is God Himself.
