Outdoor Class and Technology

We are very thankful to have a large space right outside of our classroom door. When we meet in small groups, or when we want to sing some songs, we step outside in an attempt to follow our fresh-air Covid guidelines 😊.

Here, they are answering comprehension questions to prepare for the Journeys test the next day.

They also review the vocabulary words using the game of charades.

I've been impressed with how the kids help each other to review the grammar section as well. They knew exactly which page to go to, and quiz each other on the content for that week.

I LOVE THESE KIDS!!!!!

I have also appreciated the technology that is available to us. Even though it is a love-hate relationship (I only love technology when it works!), it has been a great addition to our learning.

These are pictures of the kids enjoying some fun activities on Nearpod. We practiced some drawing skills...

...and got to see a 3-D model of a T-Rex.

There were math problems to solve...

...and a scuba diving exploration.

3rd grade certainly looks different from when I was in school back in the Dark Ages, but I love the variety of learning that these kids get to experience!
