Snow and ice have fallen upon room D12.
Aslan the lion awaits. The lamp post is lit.
It's always winter in Narnia. Always winter and never Christmas.
23 books waiting patiently to be opened!!
DAY 1
Today, Lucy Pevensie went into Narnia through the wardrobe, and met Mr. Tumnus the Faun.
They had tea together in his home.
In today's reading, we were shocked to witness the lure and the temptations of sin through Edmund and the White Witch.
He "...thought only of trying to shovel down as much Turkish Delight as he could, and the more he ate the more he wanted to eat..." (chapter 4).
We discussed how oftentimes we start with a small bite of sin. But before we know it, we find ourselves rationalizing as we take more bites.
You should have seen their eyes when I told the kids that I had some Turkish Delight for them to try.
Here's a video of their first nibble...
Day 3
In today's reading, the rest of the Pevensie children finally entered into Narnia.
As you know, it's "always winter and never Christmas" in this land, so we had to prepare for the bitter cold.
We didn't last long outside because it was actually very cold!!

Let's take a brief intermission from Narnia, and watch our cute kids having a blast during our Glow Party!!

Afterwards, we got to go outside and have PIZZA, thanks to Malaya's mom who was kind enough to bless the class in that way! THANK YOU!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Now back to the regularly scheduled program...

DAY 4
Today was a special day...we got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Beaver!
It was the first time for many of the kids to try marmalade.
We enjoyed our meal with the Beavers so much.
We heard the name of ASLAN from Mr. Beaver, and we are eager to meet him soon!
DAY 5
Aslan is near! Aslan is near! Do you know how we know? Because Father Christmas was FINALLY able to return to Narnia!!
It's no longer "always winter and never Christmas"...because Christmas HAS COME!!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Let's take another short intermission to listen to our kids in music class. I love getting to see what they are learning! This was such a surprise...I had no idea they could play the bells so nicely!!
----------------------------------------------------------------
We are truly looking forward to next week's reading as Aslan enters into the story.
when Aslan comes in sight.
At the sound of his roar,
sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth,
winter meets its death.
And when he shakes his mane,
we shall have spring again."
Another amazing blog! Josiah comes home every day with stories about what you guys do, so seeing it is such a sweet bonus. Thank you so much!!
