The long awaited Turkey Trot day arrived! These kids came in their Trot shirts, ready to run!
Gobble gobble! Look at our adorable turkeys!
The chefs were ready to slice and dice!!
Here are the chefs preparing to cook the turkeys...
I was a turkey, too, so I got to join in the fun!
We had some time before the run, to we got to play some good ole fashioned games like Hang Man, Bingo, and 4 Corners.
Finally, it was the Turkey Trot time!!! We received some important safety tips from Mr. Barnes first.
Then off they went!!
Everyone did a great job!!
After the run, the kids still got to go to Music with Mrs. Reyes to continue practicing for the Christmas Concert.
We were ready to eat!!
On the menu: Turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, Mac and cheese, roll with butter. Everything was delish!!
Thank you to photographer Noah for taking our picture! It was fun to eat with the kids!
After lunch, it was our movie time. The movie had a connection to our writing assignment that we had this week. The kids wrote an opinion paper answering the question, "Should Turkey be Served on Thanksgiving?"
We watched Free Birds, which was about a turkey who went back in time to change history so take turkey off the Thanksgiving menu!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you!! I am thanking the Lord for the blessing of each student and their families.
Looking forward to seeing you back at school on December 1st!!! Get ready for...
Love it! Thank you for sharing. Mila is excited to read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. My favorite! My lips are sealed though lol
ReplyDeleteThank you for the videos!! I’m going to try and follow along with the book on the side so I can have Josiah watch the movie after! I love a good “book vs. movie” comparison! ππΌππΌ
