HE IS RISEN!

 HE IS RISEN INDEED!!

As we walked outside for our Easter Chapel, I was reminded of the reason that we celebrate Christmas and Easter:

Remember that you never have to wonder or be uncertain as to where or how you will be spending your eternity when this short life on earth is done.

I pray that this Easter, you and your children will make the decision to follow Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord if you have not done so already.

This is one of my favorite hymns that speak of the 100% certainty that you can have in Christ:

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood

Chorus:
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

I loved worshipping together as an Elementary School!

I went crazy over how adorable the twins looked in their matching outfits, so I had to take a picture of them :)

Thank you for the beautiful banner, the personalized cross cookies (the kids were AMAZED at how special they were!!), the gift cards, and the chocolate-covered strawberries.

It was so much fun to finish our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie!

I got the sense that the kids liked the book better...                      which is a win for this teacher!!

The afternoon was loads of fun. We started with our traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Thank you for sending the eggs, everyone:

After the egg hunt, I had the kids play with some Dollar Tree toys...and were they a HIT!!

I have to tell you...my heart was SO BLESSED just to watch them have a good time and play to their heart's content. I was just so happy to see them running around and interacting so nicely with one another. It was a special time for me to observe.

I tried to capture as many moments as I could. Forgive me if I missed any of your kids in the photos...they were running around everywhere, so I did my best to get all of them:)

By the way, our pizza was given to us free of charge for having the most tickets in our Golf Tournament Basket. Way to go, 3rd grade! And thank you for participating in the raffle.

I tried to win our Restaurant Gift Card Basket...but to my dismay, my ticket was not chosen. OH WELL.

Did you guys know that our Mrs. Sarmiento won the basket that had the $500 Visa Gift Card?? Congratulations!

Have a wonderful Easter Break, everyone!                                    See you back at school on April 12th.

Then it will be 34 more school days, but who's counting?!
