What do you get when you combine economics from Social Studies, designing from Art, adding/subtracting money from Math, and writing from Language Arts?
You get the world-famous (or at least campus-famous) STORE DAY in 3rd grade!
Take a look at these unique places of business that each student has created. If you could read their Persuasive Essays, you would be absolutely convinced that you NEED to go to their store.
After visiting the Bank of Johnston and obtaining a $50 loan, they were off as consumers and producers (they took turns many times:)).
The time finally came for them to return the loan to the bank, and find out how much profit had been made after all the selling and purchasing were completed.
They counted...
and counted...
...and recounted until they were certain their numbers were correct.
Our winner with the most profit was...JULIA KIM with the amount of $105.
Congratulations, and great job everyone!!
