Let me just begin by proclaiming the birth, death, and victorious resurrection of our amazing Jesus by quoting the lyrics from one of my favorite "modern hymns":
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
Amen and Amen. This is the reason that I live, and this is the reason that I teach. I am eternally grateful for His gift of forgiveness for me.
And I cannot be more grateful to the Lord for the gift of these students this year. I mean, just LOOK at them! Yes they drive me crazy sometimes, but I love them.
Here they are making cross beads to remind them of what the Lord has done.
We then enjoyed a delicious feast. Thank you once again for the food donations!
The kids were SO excited to celebrate the birthday of our FAVORITE person...Miss Rice!! We thank the Lord for all that she has done for the kids (and ME) in our classroom this year.
And finally, the Easter Egg Hunt that represents the NEW LIFE that we can have in Jesus! Thanks to Mrs. Snawder and her helpers for hiding more than 300 eggs!!
And of course, the best part is finding what is INSIDE of them!
I'm not sure if he is happy or not...LOL!!
Sweet story about River...one of his eggs was empty, so Miss Rice offered to exchange it for a filled one...but he refused. he wanted to keep it to remind him of the EMPTY TOMB of Jesus. That warmed my heart.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
