We were so honored to have our "Adopted City Leader" come to our classroom last week! Ms. Candyce Burnett is the director of City Planning for Rancho Cucamonga. She came to tell us all about her job.

| I was very proud of our kids for coming up with EXCELLENT questions to ask her. We learned about the rules for buildings and parks, future projects, and the roles of her staff members. |

| We ended our time by asking for prayer requests. She would like for us to pray for wisdom to make good decisions for our city. We also prayed for her children as well. What a privilege to be able to lift up our city leaders in prayer! We are grateful that Ms. Candyce is shining her light for Jesus in City Hall. |

| She was also very touched by the gifts that the children brought for her. She especially loved the personalized Christmas cards from each student, written and decorated with love! |
