Our Adopted City Leader

This year, each class has decided to "adopt" a leader from our city. Our job is to get to know them, and to pray for them specifically. 

We have the honor of adopting Ms. Candyce Burnette as our city leader. She took the time out of her busy schedule to come to our class, and share about her amazing job. She is the Director of City Planning for Rancho Cucamonga. 

Ms. Candyce told us the process that people have to go through to get a building approved by the city. She remembers the paperwork coming through for Abundant Living when it was being built...and of course, she is quite familiar with the new children's building that is being built right now on our campus!

The students had a lot of questions about restaurants and shops in Rancho. 

The best part of the visit was when, at the end, we got to pray for her. These kids sure know how to bless a person through prayer! Their sincerity was heartfelt, and I was touched by their words as they lifted Ms. Candyce to the Lord. 

Let's continue to pray for her, that she will shine her light for Jesus in City Hall.
