We have spent the last 2 weeks focusing on the central teaching of the Gospel...our Lord's willingness to go to the cross to take care of our problem of sin.
This verse in Isaiah hits home every single time...by his wounds we are healed!
Today is GOOD FRIDAY. I told the kids that it's such a mixture of emotions...it's terrible, awful, and so wonderful all at once. It's a terribly good Friday.
We have to understand how utterly disgusting our sins are in order to truly understand the cleansing, the freedom, the broken chains of guilt, the ultimate rescue, and the purpose of life that Jesus Christ has purchased for us by his sacrifice!!!!
You can see that we had much to celebrate at our Easter party!
We started off with our delicious food:
Then we decorated our egg cartons:
And of course, the annual UCA Easter Egg hunt:
When we returned to the room, we got to open the eggs! Everyone loved the variety of items that were inside!
He is risen! He is risen indeed!
