Celebrating the LOVE of JESUS!

Thanks to all of you, we were able to have a DELICIOUS and LOVELY Valentine's Day party!

First, we decorated our bags...

...then had our treats!

Heart shaped brownies, pink whip, cookies, donuts, veggie tray, and nachos! Could it get any better??

Finally, we delivered our Valentines to each other.

Speaking of LOVE, we thank You Jesus for showing us unconditional love...while we were still sinners, You died for us. Thank You for being alive today. May we follow in Your footsteps each day. 

The Most Delicious Writers' Workshop!

Last week, we completed our favorite Writers' Workshop of the year: an Explanatory Essay on "How to Build an Ice Cream Sundae". 

We watched videos for inspiration, and made lists of excellent action verbs and adverbs to explain the process.

The writing portion is always difficult, but we knew we had something to look forward to when we were finished.

Brain freeze!

It was so fun to send them home to you all after loading them up with a ton of sugar.                    You're welcome. 

Some kids took the more conservative approach to the use of Whip Cream, while others went all out (myself included). 

We all agreed that this was the best Language Arts class ever:)
