Store Day 2018

Our business logos had been created, our employee shirts designed, and our commercials had been written.

Today was finally the day to open our long-awaited places of business. 

Look at our future business men and women!

They were given $25 of spending money. They also went to the Bank of Johnston to borrow $50. It was up to them to use the $75 to make as much profit as possible. 

The students took turns being producers and consumers. 

At the end of our time, the kids counted up all of their earnings. They returned their $50 to the Bank of Johnston to figure out their final amount of profit made from the day. 

Alexis was our top business woman! As a prize, she got to dig into the treasure box to get 5 free items!

Great job, everyone! 

Rocket Launching and the Planetarium

 We had a "BLAST" making rockets at the planetarium! 

Thank you to our wonderful chaperones once again for braving the bumpy bus ride to accompany us. 

The best part of all was the rocket launch and the attempted catches!! They had to catch from the air, and not have it bounce off of anyone or the ground. It was HARD!

After several rounds, we had 5 kids in our class who caught the rocket. They got to take home the prized keychain.

The planetarium show was great, too...we learned all about the changes in the sky.

I'm going to miss these crazy, wacky kiddos!!

I can't believe we only have 5 more weeks together. I'm getting sad...I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!

After returning from our field trip, we got to have our "Junk Food Party" in celebration of the end of our MAP testing. The kids did a great job, so this was a well deserved treat!
