Preparing for the Big Move

I had to crack up at this...here is Mrs. Sinner's classroom stuff that had to be moved in. A few boxes, neatly packed and taped along one side of the wall.

And then here's our stuff...not so neatly packed nor taped.

I kept packing, and packing, and packing...

...where did all of this stuff come from???

We will see you in our new room upstairs in the "Y" building! Ours is the FIRST room on the right (the one with the round window).

Thanksgiving Feast 2014

Thanks to all of our wonderful parent volunteers and our AMAZING Impact, our annual Thanksgiving Feast was a great success. The food was absolutely delicious...when the kids returned to the room, they could not stop talking about how GOOD it was!

Just look at these faces!! (Sorry Sirr...I thought I took a close-up of your face, but when I checked my photos, it wasn't there! My bad.)

I find myself being overwhelmed with GRATITUDE...God has given me such a great class. I love every single one of them!!

The place mats turned out pretty good...I told the kids to maybe use superglue or something for the leaves if they keep falling off. Don't you love the Bible verse? "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever." Psalm 118:1

I had to do a "close up" of this one...such a precious smile :) Just warms my heart.

Awwww!

Love these crazy boys!!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break, everyone. May all the praise and glory go to the One who deserves our worship. Thank You, Jesus, for your unconditional love for us.

Let There Be LIght

In science, we have been learning about the many characteristics of LIGHT. In our first Science Lab, the students had to determine if the objects in the bag were: opaque, translucent, or transparent when light was applied to them.

At first, we predicted what they would be. Can you guess if aluminum foil is translucent or opaque? How about a dark orange balloon? A black construction paper?

We have a blast in our groups!

The next Science Lab was about REFRACTION.

It was such a discovery for the students to find out how much water is a part of refracting light! The pencil looks broken!

Another fun and successful learning day in science class!
