Our on-campus field trip day turned out to be an all day SPACE DAY in Mrs. Johnston's class!
It was simply OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Here are the kids pretending to be floating in space: 🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐
First, we read from the book of Genesis, and praised our Creator God for His omnipotence. He created the entire solar system, the galaxies, the moon, and the stars by SPEAKING THEM INTO EXISTENCE!
WOW!!
Next, we learned the order of our solar system. Ask your student to sing the song for you. We used: My Very Evil Mother Just Swatted Uncle's Nose.
We had a lot of fun making a solar system craft...but I can't show you any pictures here. You'll have to come to our Expo to see them!

It was SO COOL to climb inside the dome and see the stars and planets!

After the show, we went outside for our picnic lunch! It was a perfect day to eat outside:
We did an astronaut craft after lunch, which will also be on display at the Expo!
I decided to have some fun with the kiddos, and offered a very special snack later in the afternoon:
All of the sudden, we had a room full of aliens!
I even found some SPACE COOKIES to surprise the kids!
All in all, a very successful on-campus field trip day! Fun was had by all.
