Sigh...the very last day of school. I can't believe it!
We started off the day with some table activities:
1) Play doh:
2) Magnetic tiles:
3) Magnet game:
4) More magnet fun:
5) Fifty states puzzle:
6) Spirograph:
Next, it was time for...
Every year, I end with what I call a "friendship circle". We get into a circle and tell each other what we appreciate about another person.
We went around and around several times. It was a very special time.
Then, I give the kids a chance to hug, high five, or fist bump to say their final good byes:
Our final time of prayer was so very sweet.
Thank You Jesus for these kids that I got to teach this year. Thank You for the blessing of getting to know them and their families. May each child remain close to You, Lord, all the days of their lives.
We started off by building a trap to catch some Zoids (in conjunction with our math from lastweek when we learned about trapezoids. Get it? Trap-a-zoid??)
All of our traps had to be in the shape of a trapezoid.
We set the trap. Now we wait.
While we waited, we played a VERY WACKY game...the Bean Boozled Jelly Beans game!
I told the kids that they are NOT required to play...only those who want to can participate. I was very surprised to find so many hands go up!
You know I had to record every single student who tried one! They were so brave! You don't need to watch all of them. I just wanted the moms of these kids to see 👀 .
But you do need to watch Mrs. Sarmiento and Mrs. Johnston...she's a better woman than I am...haha!
Our lunch time was WACKY too! I told the kids that they had to use their opposite hand to eat their lunch. Some took it very seriously. Others for some reason thought I said "no hands"...so funny.
After lunch, the kids walked back into the classroom to find that the ZOIDS had come, and they were in the traps!
We had a great time training the Zoids and playing with them.
Mrs. Johnston provided another WACKY activity...we got to create Candy Salad!
It was the best salad they have ever had.
Of course we couldn't just have a normal recess. We had a bubbles contest!
The person who made the biggest bubble won a desk pet.
Our Wacky Wednesday was a huge success!
It was a lot of fun to see the smiles of the kids all day long.
