ROCKIN RECESS and a RAINY DAY PARTY

Today was our Rockin Recess! Way to go, parents, for creating your child's Turkey Trot page...we had 100% participation!!

The kids were treated to chips, a fruit snack, and juice for their rockin snacks.

Even as they were eating their snacks, they couldn't wait to get on that dance floor!

Here they are warming up...

We ended up having an impromptu dance off! I invited volunteers to come and dance in the middle of the floor. I did not have a shortage of uninhibited dancers, that's for sure! LOL!!

Here was Aden to kick us off, and he did not disappoint!

This is a little random, but I wanted to show you a cute video of a birthday party that we had to have indoors because of the rain.

I grabbed my phone to take some pictures and video because they were playing SO NICELY and were just adorable. I love these kids!!

There were several kids who made board games for their book report projects, so they came in handy for the party! They loved playing the games together:)

I'm so blessed to have all 26 of these children in my class.

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER BOOK REPORT PROJECT 2024

GREAT JOB on the October/November Book Report Projects! I LOVED seeing how proud they were of their own work.

You have a little break until the next one in January where we will be choosing biographies to celebrate Black History Month.

Fossil Excavation

In science class, we have been learning about the different types of fossils. We have been marveling at the creativity of our God as we have wondered what dinosaurs may have looked like.

On Friday, we got to do a little digging for ourselves! We pretended to be paleontologists, and used our chisels and brushes to find a fossil.

Now you know why your child had powder all over their faces and uniform when you picked them up!

These were the fossils that they found! If you haven't seen them yet, they are in a plastic bag in their backpacks:)

  • They are the cutest paleontologists EVER!

    We love science!
